The Ft. Wayne chapter of ASHRAE was chartered in 1974 and has functioned
over 30 years as a meeting point for the HVAC
industry in northeastern Indiana.
Chartered in 1974 with Alfred Gunterman as
president,
the chapter was dormant
for several years in the 1990s, but through an
energetic group of Ft. Wayne consulting
engineers it was rejuvenated. The following
members have served as chapter president:
2001-2002 - Bill Bissmeyer
2002-2003 - Matt Armey
2003-2004 - Craig Scully
2004-2005 - Tom Kuhn
2005-2006 - Drew Emsweller
2006-2007 - Mike
Lubbehusen
Initially it was supposed that
local
professionals were not members of the Northern
Indian chapter of ASHRAE because of the travel
time involved in getting to South Bend, but that
a local Fort Wayne chapter would spur a
membership surge. These suppositions have
proven to be true as we now have over seventy
active members in the Fort Wayne ASHRAE Chapter!
